We had our well-child exams two weeks ago. I'm a little late in posting this, whoops. Life is pretty busy these days. The boys did great. Porter "talked" to everyone in the waiting room. He weighs 27 lbs (40%). We didn't get an accurate height. He stood up instead of lying down and it looks like he shrunk but he is definitely getting taller. He was only due for the 2nd hepatitis A vaccine and did great as usual. Our pediatrician was a little late so we were at the office almost two hours! That's a long time with two little ones. Porter did great except for the last ten minutes and we left in a screaming fit unfortunately.
Cooper did well except he had three shots!!! He cried just for a minute and then was fine. He is growing like crazy. He weighs 11.2 lbs (40%) and is 23 inches (50%). He is doing everything he should be such as tracking objects, smiling, cooing and lifting his head. I am not doing much tummy time because he spits up so much we would lose an entire meal! That is one huge difference between the two. Porter rarely spit up and Cooper does constantly! I often have to change clothes multiple times each day. He isn't in any discomfort but it gets annoying!
Porter has been a good big brother. He likes to place (or shove) the binky into Cooper's mouth especially when he is crying. Yesterday he found the binky and asked "Where's baby?". We told him upstairs and he started heading up the stairs to give it to him. He also likes to cover him up with blankets . . . entirely! He has good intentions we just have to watch him closely. I have noticed some jealousy. When Cooper is lying in the crib watching his mobile, Porter will try to climb into the crib. After we take Cooper out of the crib, Porter wants to lie down and watch the mobile which he has obviously outgrown!
It's so fun to watch how they interact. I think Cooer is going to love watching his big brother and Porter is definitely an entertainer!
