Vamos a Mexico!
We had our first international family trip to Mexico last week! We went to Saladita which is a very small surf town about 45 minutes north of Ixtapa/Zihuatenejo. We met Trevor's mother and sister down there for a fun-filled week. We rented a 3 bedroom house on the beach in front a great surf break. We were able to surf, relax, swim, do some yoga and enjoy great meals (both at the local beach huts and nicer restaurants in Troncones). It was a great vacation and we were very sad to leave. We spent our last night in Ixtapa at a big resort so we could enjoy the pools and see a little something different. The hotel was amazing. It had four pools, fountains, and a children's pool. The beach was absolutely perfect but Porter did not like the waves and sand. We think he'll enjoy it more next year! The flights went well except the one from Zihuatenejo to Phoenix which involved a lot of crying, otherwise he was an excellent traveller. He did not sleep well but fortunately we had nothing to do but relax all day so it was not a big deal. All in all, I would say it was a success and we are looking forward to another family trip next year! The surf break was a long and easy wave so we will definitely return. Enjoy the pictures!!!
