Trevor and I went to a pirate party last weekend. It was a fundraiser for the local theater with a Treasure Island theme (obviously this was Trevor's idea!). It was either a pirate costume theme or black tie. Trevor preferred black tie but I went ahead and bought us pirate costumes. It was definitely the best choice. We sat with a bunch of friends from the ED, all dressed in costume as well! We had a great time. Trevor's stipulation was that we would not buy anything. The prizes went for outrageous prices. For example, gourmet cakes such as Guiness Chocolate cake ($500), Smores cake ($300) and other prices similar. The McCoys got a great deal on a lunch cruise which should be fun. Other items were week long rentals in Sun Valley or Friday Harbor. I couldn't figure out how to post our pics but here are the links:

Reading time with daddy pics
Here are a few pictures of Porter and Trevor reading. I also included a few pictures from the baby shower at my step aerobics class!
21 Months Old!
Time is moving so quickly I cannot keep up with Porter's monthly updates! He is gearing up for Halloween. He loves his cow costume and he has a great "moo" to match the costume:) I can't say there are many new milestones this month. He is still 110% daddy's boy! He calls for Trevor first thing in the morning, every time we return home, and when he wakes up from his nap. He often looks for him around the house even if I tell him that he is at work. His face lights up when he sees him. It really is adorable.
Porter loves being chased in his car. He brings his second car up the stairs from the sun room and points to it to have Trevor chase him in the car while he "pedals" his little scoot car. If I try to chase him in it, he often says "no no no" and points to Trevor. This is fine with me since I really don't want to bend over and push a car around the kitchen!
He still loves his daycare. Each morning when we walk in he gives his shy smile at the teachers. I think they really enjoy him there. He is the oldest in his classroom and they are working on his sharing skills, as are we. He is not so good at that. Apparently he is very kind to the babies at his regular daycare. This is much different than the gym daycare where they tell me is a bully (not specifically using that work). Apparently he pushes down babies, hits them and has even kicked them. We have alot of work to do with him being a big brother!
